Christ Builds His Church
Christ builds His church by His own plan,
That work has never been left to man.
Steeples that gracefully rise above,
May be the work of man's selfless love.
But "the kingdom of God is within you"
Said the Master Builder to the chosen few
So, open your hearts, ye sons of men,
Let the Son of God your life amend,
Men call the church house the Church of Christ,
But its not the church, its only the tryst,
Rather, men's hearts are His dwelling place-
Mine and yours of the human race.
And, in them He dwells, whose plan saves man.
He builds His kingdom by a revealed plan
It cost His blood on Calvary's Cross,
That we might live -- that none be lost.
In the humblest soul of mortal man
Is the temple of God not made with hands --
There's the Church of Christ, God's beloved Son
Gave His life: our salvation won.
Christ does build His church, an eternal thing,
But out of the lost, we seek and bring.
So, if the Church prevail the gates of Hell
We must seek and save, and the Gospel tell.
